Before you apply
A Digital Signature Certificate (DSC) is the electronic equivalent of a handwritten signature. It binds your verified identity to a cryptographic key pair, so anyone receiving a document you signed can confirm both who signed it and that it has not been altered since.
Class 3 covers virtually all current requirements — income tax, GST, MCA/ROC filings, e-tendering and DGFT. Choose a signing-only certificate if you only need to sign, or a signing + encryption combination if you also need to receive encrypted documents.
With paperless eKYC, most applications are verified and issued the same working day, often within the hour. Applications needing manual document review can take longer.
Proof of identity and address (PAN and Aadhaar for individuals), a working mobile number and email address linked to your application, and — for organisation certificates — authorisation from the entity.
Yes, for Class 3 certificates. Regulations require the private key to be generated and stored on a hardware crypto token so it cannot be copied off the device. We can supply one with your order.
Yes. The certificate lives on the USB token, not the computer, so you can move it between machines — you just need the token drivers installed on each one.
It stops working, and signatures made after expiry will not validate. We send reminders in advance so you can renew in time. A renewal is a fresh certificate, and you can reuse your existing token.
